A lovely tamboured net shawl which looks hand-worked to me. It has a scalloped hem with floral sprays, garlands and boteh motifs.

Condition is good for its age; there are quite a few holes in the net.

Early to mid 19th Century.

It is quite a bright white colour (so it may well have been washed using a biological detergent) and there are a couple of very faint, tiny marks.

Measures approx. 145cm x 53cm (57" x 21").
