Exquisite Point de Gaze needle lace border with a design of roses and sprays of foliage with garlands of harebell like flowers.  The net is also needle made - lovely workmanship.  This piece comes with its original old label which reads; '1 3/4 Pt Gaze for 3 guineas' - wonderful to know what it originally cost (3 guineas was a HUGE amount of money in the late 19th century!).

Condition is pretty good; there are a few small and hard to see repairs and the last scallop at one end has been regrounded with a rare three twist untraversed machine made net.

Colour - cream with a lot of age marks.

Measures approx. 136cm  x 8.5cm (53 1/2" x 3 3/8") at its widest points, including heading tape.
