Three collectors samples of Milanese or Genoese bobbin lace with a lovely variety of decorative 'speckles' and decoration within the meandering braids, some unusual raised features and a mixtures of braided and picoted brides. As one can see from their shape, these pieces have been cut into sections to make a bodice. I have pinned them together onto my dressmaker's dummy to show what they look like as a bodice, but these would be lovely for a collector of early lace.
Condition is very good for their age; there are a number of joins, and the pieces are quite grubby; they have obviously not been cleaned for many, many years!
