Superb quality handmade Maltese bobbin silk lace handkerchief edge, with the traditional Maltese Crosses within the design.  It has not been attached to a centre, and so has never been used.

Provenance - part of the collection from the County of Warwick Museum; it still has it’s original ID label.

In excellent condition - this piece appears to have never been used or attached to a centre fabric panel.

Pale honey in colour.

2nd half of the 19th century.
