Fine Honiton bobbin lace appliqué bonnet veil with motifs applied to a machine made net ground.  The design has two rows of floral sprays towards the hem; five larger sprays (two patterns are repeated) of a chrysanthemum with forget-me-nots, helenium (?) with small daisies and harebells and a budding flower with roses (?).  Above there is another row of four similar sprays of dahlias with a smaller leafy spray at either end.  The motifs are well made with raised work.  The hem is bordered with drooping flower-heads and the sides with a simple shamrock design.  The top is hemmed and has the original silk ribbon to gather the bonnet veil.

Condition is very good, with one small break in the net.

Antique white in colour.
