A handmade Honiton bobbin lace collar with unusual and elaborate flowerheads to the outer edge, and some equally unusual small scale rosebuds with lovely leadworks and some super rib-raised work - all pointing to a good quality piece. The threads used are very fine and soft, also indicting an early date.

Condition is good, with a few broken brides and detached leadworks.

Dates from the early 19th century.

Cream in colour.

Measures approx. 47cm (18.5") along the inside neck edge x 10cm (4") at its deepest point.
