Handmade Brussels needlelace applique veil, with Point de Gaze rose 

motifs - a very beautiful and elegant veil which can be worn on the 

diagonal or on the square.  It has a border of meandering roses and 

foliage with large floral sprigs in the centre panel.

Condition - good but with many very small breaks and some repairs in the net, 

some faint marks, which are barely noticeable (in the 9th picture).

Dates from the mid 19th century.

Colour - antique white.

Measures approx. 182cm x 180cm (72" x 71").
