A lovely handkerchief of Bedfordshire bobbin lace with a fine design of sunflowers(?) and foliage. The cross-shaped centre is of fine lawn. There are raised wheatears to add texture. A good quality example.
Condition is very good with no obvious damage.
Colour - ivory with some faint foxing type marks; I have not cleaned this piece.
Dates from the 19th century.
Measures approx. 32cm (12 1/2") square.
