Semi-circular bonnet veil - handmade Honiton bobbin lace motifs applied to a machine made net. This is a rare piece as little black Honiton was made. There is a velvet ribbon to gather the piece at the top. The piece has been starched. 

Condition is good - there are a number of breaks in the net. 

Dates from the mid to late 19th century.

Black in colour.

Measures approx. 78.5cm x 41cm (31" x 16.5") at the widest points.
